Mayor’s Cemetery Revitalization Project – Brick Campaign

The City of Key West is proud to launch the Mayor’s Cemetery Revitalization Project Brick Campaign, a community-driven effort dedicated to preserving one of our island’s most historic and sacred landmarks—the Key West Cemetery.

For generations, the cemetery has served as a resting place for the families, founders, and everyday citizens who shaped the character and spirit of our community. Yet many of its gravesites and structures are in need of attention and repair—work that often goes undone when families have moved away or no descendants remain to care for them.

Through the purchase of personalized commemorative bricks, residents, visitors, and supporters of Key West can play an active role in restoring and protecting this important piece of our heritage. All proceeds from brick sales will go directly toward essential repairs, maintenance, and preservation efforts within the Key West Cemetery, ensuring that these historic grounds continue to tell the story of our island for generations to come.

This campaign not only supports critical restoration—it also offers a meaningful way to honor loved ones, celebrate family history, or leave a lasting personal mark within this cherished place.

Together, we can safeguard the legacy held within the Key West Cemetery and ensure its beauty, dignity, and historical significance endure far into the future.
