CFFK is now accepting applications for the 2016 Leadership Success Academy (LSA), which offers best practices in leadership development and governance skills for nonprofit board members. The ninth year of the LSA will begin March 3, 2016 and includes four half-day training sessions through April. Application forms and more information is available here.
CFFK’s signature program has trained more than 400 board members from over 100 nonprofits in Monroe County. Training sessions will be held at the Tennessee Williams Theatre in Key West on March 3, March 17, March 31, and April 14, 2016. All sessions will be held from 1 to 6 p.m., with graduation immediately following the last session.
The cost of the program is $100 per organization (for up to four participants including the Executive Director/CEO). Applications are being accepted from any board member of a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, service/civic or membership organization, and government group or coalition. Executive Directors/CEOs can participate in all training sessions providing at least one board member participates for the entire program. Debbie Mason, of Strategists, Inc., is the facilitator and program consultant.
“Effective leadership is critical in helping nonprofits achieve their goals, build stability, and meet community needs,” said Dianna Sutton, president and CEO of the Community Foundation of the Florida Keys. “CFFK is helping strengthen the leadership of nonprofits through this program.”
The Leadership Success Academy is presented in partnership with the Florida Keys Community College and is sponsored by the Key West Marriott Beachside.
