MISSION: To preserve and restore a National Historic Landmark for public visitation. The INGHAM was built in 1936 at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard and served our country for 52 years serving from Pre-WWII through Viet Nam and Mariel Boatlift. In 1985 INGHAM was the oldest naval vessel and most decorated vessel serving our Nation. A letter from President Regan in the ships history room congratulating her on that accomplishment is on display. The ship offers the opportunity for the public and in particular children to learn about the history of our country from 1936 to 1988.
