Mission: Monroe Emergency Reserve Corps (MERC) is composed of volunteer member teams, who are trained in basic life, safety and emergency preparedness skills. MERC is community based, whose purpose is to assist the county of Monroe, Florida and its residents in the event of a major incident or large scale disaster, whether man-made or natural.
