How charitable are Americans? Donations from America’s individuals, estates, foundations and corporations grew 5.2% last year, contributing $410.02 billion to U.S. charities, according to the recent Giving USA 2018 Annual Report. Charitable giving from individuals, foundations, corporations and bequests all increased in 2017. Individuals accounted for 70% of all giving (with donations increasing 5.2%), Foundations accounted for 16%, Bequests 9% and Corporations 5%.
