Nationally renowned nonprofit management expert, foundation executive, and author Alex Counts will make a special appearance in Key West for a one-time only talk and book signing event.

The special event will be Thursday, August 19, at 3:30 p.m. at the Tennessee Williams Theatre, and is free and open to the public.

The first 100 people to register will receive a free copy of Alex’s new book, thanks to a generous gift from the G. Ross McKee Jr. Charitable Fund.

Alex Counts will offer key leadership, life and career secrets he learned through decades of being a powerful leader, detailed in his new book When In Doubt, Ask for More: And 213 Other Life and Career Lessons for the Mission-Driven Leader. In a glowing review of the book, Kirkus Reviews called it “parceled out pearls of leadership wisdom.”

“The Community Foundation is really excited to be able to present such an inspirational thought leader and nonprofit expert to share his insights and wisdom in the Keys,” said Jennifer McComb, President and CEO of the Community Foundation. “Not only will those who lead, work and volunteer for nonprofits benefit from his talk, but his life and career lessons will benefit anyone wanting to do more.”
